TGIF! Are y'all ready for the weekend? I am. This post is going to cover two weeks worth of material but I tried to not be to chatty for ya!
We spent Thanksgiving eating yummy gluten-free foods with my family (minus my brother in this picture). My brother hosted Thanksgiving again this year and it was yummy. His dressing changed my life (or at least my opinion on dressing).
To add to the decadence we ate Crepes and the Crepere and Cafe of Weaverville, North Carolina. They make the most delicious crepes. What's a crepe? It's a thin pancake wrapped around whatever food you enjoy (yes, that's the technical definition . . . not). I had the popular B.S.T.E. which is bacon, spinach, tomato, and eggs wrapped in a crepe and topped with a garlic aioli. If you are ever on a dinners, drive-ins, and dives tour check out this place (ya hear me Guy Fieri?).
Then we worked off the calories of breakfast by trudging up hill through the snow to choose and cut the perfect Christmas tree for my brother and his wife. Actually, it was a lot more fun than I just made it sound. Aren't they cute?
I almost forgot, we found my Grandmother's bifocals in an old dresser. I think they're coming back in style. What do y'all think?
When I got home, this beauty greeted me. He's the small cousin of the tree from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. He did get a haircut so that he would actually fit inside the space and he is b.e.a.utiful. (not sure why "he" is a "he" but we'll go with it.
I'll be spending the weekend sewing some boxy cosmetic bags and celebrating the November/December birthdays in the Boyfriend's family.
We celebrated with his Dad Wednesday. He's 54 but thought he'd just turn 45 again instead and how can you say no to that face. ;) So I hope y'all have a good weekend. Please leave some comments below. Have you ever ate crepes? Do you have any suggestions for places to eat in Western NC?
